Neglected Rope Poem by RUP POKHAREL

Neglected Rope

He got, all worldly space empty
Every single faces so uncouth,
Love lost and torn
Hope not even in an iota
Even his better-half on the days near
Odd in all frames.

Kids he saw all foes- in eyes,
Their caring call...
All annoying and irking.

He looked towards East,
Saw no hope.
He looked towards West,
Found no hope.
He looked towards North,
Flavored no hope.
He looked towards South,
Smelt no hope.

He saw a neglected rope
While around the vicinity
He took it with care,
Found lovely, too friendly.
He kissed; kissed and kissed
And spoke to it.
“Among all dead-devils,
Among all living evils,
Rope; you are my parting pal.
I see hope of mine to be fulfilled
In you alone. You suit my choice.
You are the luckiest, to witness my leave
With the poignant sundown,
You will accompany me to my homely site,
For you are to ease my valediction
And I am to breathe my last
To define my horrendous past.
You remain engulfed around my neck
And see me dying –the pleasure taking”.
