Negative Eyes Poem by Francis Duggan

Negative Eyes

To the good you must only be blind if you only look for the bad
You condemn the son or the daughter for the sins of the mum or the dad
That everyone is an individual you do not seem to realize
And you only can look at others to what's known as negative eyes
On life you don't have a broad outlook your World in itself does seem small
You believe on a fair go for your kind but not on a fair go for all
Suppose the flaws we see in others are the flaws in our own selves we see
In that way we are very similar you are not that different to me
I too have room for self improvement to my higher self I'm not true
And I too will warrant the karma the karma to me that is due
In time our lives do seem a short span and better with your time you can do
Than looking for the flaws in others when the one you should look at is you
Our biological clocks keep on ticking and the longest life not a long span
And you can make the World better to live in by being a better woman or man.
