Nasrudin is walking in the streets
But see - do you see?
Nasrudin carries a door tied to his back
Yes, see
Nasrudin is walking in the streets
and he carries a door on his back

Oh Nasrudin, why do you carry a door
tied to your back?

Oh, dear friends
there are so many break-ins
in our town
and as there’s only one way to my house
I thought I’ll carry my door with me
so no one can break into my house!
