Naked Lady Puts On A Simple White Dress Poem by Terence George Craddock

Naked Lady Puts On A Simple White Dress

in morning light
as flowers begin
to open bud raised
heads to morning light

on far bank the naked lady
leaves the cold kiss
early morning river waters
puts on a simple white dress

to clothe new birth day
no smile alights upon her face
in soft morning light

her long black hair falls
limp unadorned strangely no jewelry shines
in familiar comfort upon wrists fingers
