A river moves effortlessly
across plains and valleys,
dousing and gushing
through alcoves and alleys.
Affecting a state of peace,
it brings about a mystic calm.
Evokes a feeling of ease,
for anguish, acts as a balm.
Enriching the banks,
through its course,
providing source of life
to seeds and pores.
Smoothening frayed edges,
accruing minerals and pebbles.
Bringing vitality in her path
to each speck and cobble.
A reason for explorations,
aided sailors and navigators,
a miracle of nature that ends
its journey in ocean’s crater.
