Mystery Key Poem by Duncan Stephen

Mystery Key

I came upon a mystery one day
Whilst cutting the lawn
I heard a loud clang
Whatever could it be?

There it was a rusty key
Wherever did it come from
It was a mystery to me
Thinking long and hard
It puzzled me
Must be a key to something
But what?

I don't like puzzles much
Checked every door
Still no joy
Up in the attic I found a dusty chest
Could it be?
Tried the lock-it fitted!

What was inside-nothing
That was the end of the mystery
