Myself Poem by gopichandnagasuseela Suseela

Myself

Myself

I saw a shooting star fall gracefully
I saw a titanic rolling wave break majestically
I saw a fiery fountain
Of liquid lava sizzling down
All these prepare me
To lean into the oblivion.

Who is my companion?
My hopes and aspirations
After a brief interval
My despairs and depressions
They take turns and keep my company
Even on wide wide seas!

I’m free - as free as a butter fly
I grew up and embraced fear—religion
My fears yielded to new fears
I can’t shun them; they became my blood
I’m a bitter fly with my wings clipped!
I can’t fly but only hop and loose my balance.
