My World Poem by Libby Bechtel

My World

Together we make music in his room dreaming of morning

I told my angel that he is the spring rain and blooming flowers,

The summer stars and sun,

The autumn leaves and crisp wind,

The winter snow and icicles on bare trees;

My world.

I told him that if all else fails, that we can fly away hand in hand into the Sun

And stay up late whispering while looking at Earth from afar.

Then he looked into my eyes and while I was lost in the Milky Way in his eyes,

He smiled and said that he would follow me over many mountains,

Swampy valleys,

Wide lakes,

Stormy oceans,

And dry deserts if it meant that we would be together.

I want to share my world with him,

But I don't know if my world is worthy enough for my prince.
