My Waiting Poem by Travis Ciempa

My Waiting

Silence swept through the hours.
There is no other way around
The thunderous sky the only sound
Rain starts to pour. Shower, showers.
Life has stopped and is forever still
I'll wait all my years; I will wait until I die
Days of joy and heartache, I cry
Seasons go by, hot to cold, chill, chill.
When you come around I am ready
We hold hands and breathe our life
We will make it even through strife
Let's just try our best and take it steady.
