My Waiting Place Poem by T.J. Daniels

My Waiting Place

I sit here
in my waiting place
all alone 'cept me.

Will I always be lonely?

Will I be able to
wait and see?

How long must I have to wait?
I hope it's not too long.

I've waited for a long time now
I hope I haven't waited wrong.

I hope there's not a wrong way
that you just sit and wait.

If that's all there is to it
I'll just sit here
in my waiting place

and wait.
