My Soul's Tribe (Sonnet #83) Poem by Tina Rizk

My Soul's Tribe (Sonnet #83)

Touched I am by your love, pure and tender
In your heart I sip the sweet dews of love
Sweet as Eden's apples, I feel splendour
On the wings of love we soar amid doves

In you I found my soul's tribe, my dwelling
Strong is our bond, as lyrics to a song
Your care and tenderness are heart melting
We're entwined as trees' roots; thus we belong

And I want nothing but you, sweet soulmate
My heart lacked a piece, in you I found it
Blessed I feel at how closely we relate
Our souls share one blueprint; we cohabit

When people ask me how close we are
I just smile and put my hand on my heart
