Though the years I have caught glimpses of you
At times I thought I had met you
You invade my dreams, my waking thoughts
My soul cries out for you

I know what kind of person you are; I know your kindness
Your strengths, your fears, and what frightens you
As well as what you love
You and I are one – made of the same soul
My soul cries out for you

It should be easy to find you
But not knowing who you are or
What you look like makes it hard
Throughout our lifetimes
I will never stop searching for you
Because my soul cries out for you
