My Real Life Poem by Joseph Camphouse

My Real Life

This is not the real me.
This is just someone I play on TV.
This is not the life I lead.
This is all imagined.
I am just rehearsing for my moment in the light.
I know it will come.
When it does all this time will pay off.
36 years as a hoofer in my so called life.
Rehearsing for the real thing.
