My Prayer Poem by DANIEL ESSIEN

My Prayer

Where is your church?
Lord, where are your likes?
What has happened to those rare breed
I mean, the species that shun self
But glory in God's glory.
Where is the gathering where holiness was know
And sins drowned
Where is the church where sinners were allow to come in
But convicted to remain in sin
Where is the church where the lost were subject in sermons
Delivery unsaved from the power of demons.
Where are the pastors who warn believers to shun fornication
Living above sin by the power of redemption.
Lord, where are they whose heart fixed on serving you.
Not minding which lens the world see them through.
Where they who will say like Paul to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Lord set my heart to serve you
Not minding what others do.
Help me to once again
Raise a church who will not fear the bombs of wicked men over the joy of a saved soul.
Lord, candled the fire of early church
In the hearts of men of my generation.
Lord raise a Peter upon who you will build your church firmly again.

Peace
