My Pillow Poem by Ashleigh Gaffney

My Pillow

Smashing my head into my pillow
No one hears my cries
Smashing my head into my pillow
Because inside, my soul dies

Screaming into my pillow
Exhausted and worthless, but sill in pain
Screaming into my pillow
But I know I have nothing to gain

Crying into my pillow
Like it’s some kind of game
Crying into my pillow
Do you have any shame?

Punching my pillow
Because I picture your face
Punching my pillow
You’re such a disgrace

Grasping my pillow
As I life it in the air
Grasping my pillow
Wait daddy, that’s not fair

You punch me in the face
As tears begin to roll down
You punch me in the face
This smile, you turned into a frown

Where is my pillow
You have helped me so
Where is my pillow
But now it’s time for me to go
