My Opinions On Politicians Poem by Francis Duggan

My Opinions On Politicians

My opinions on most politicians should it matter anyway
Since so few ever pay heed to what of them I say
To me most of them are quite egotistical and readily willing to deceive
And their words are quite ambiguous and they are hard to believe
There are some trustworthy politicians but they are of the few
But this is something that is well known and in any way that is new
In parliament the praises of their party and their own praises they does sing
And in their words to disrespect their opposition does seem to be their thing
Even in a democratically elected government majorities only seem to count
The needs of voter minorities to nothing seems to amount
Most people who live in poverty parliamentary electionsdoes not care who wins or lose
A home to live in and freedom of want in life is all they choose
They are not interested in politics since their sort are aware
That the most of politicians about them does not care
Even democratically elected politicians legislate for the well to do is how it seems to be
Though with this any politician I am sure would not agree.
