My Mind Poem by Syc Katt

Sadness comes to steal the tears from my eyes
While something inside of me slowly dies

Creating deeper caves for my thoughts to hide
Twisting through their tunnels while inside I cried

Dark and damp so are those thoughts
Always the fear that somebody plots

Dark cavernous places
And sinister spaces

Wilted flowers
Under blood showers

While thoughts become storms
I’m attacked by dark forms

Surrounded by a sickening swirling motion
And bloody thoughts as deep as oceans

Crimson stained
Heart is pained

Tormented creatures
With desolate features

Loosing all I’ve ever loved
While through life I’m brutally shoved

Wandering my minds empty streets
While wrapped in bloody battered sheets

Vicious monsters and dangerous beasts
Off my mind they wish to feast

Silence under the darkened sky
Only the dreaded question why

Time to leave these horrid thoughts
Sadly my mind just sits and rots

Behind these pained blue eyes
This dreadful secret lies

So easy to speak of this pain
Write it off and say I’m insane
