My Little Dove, Run Away. Poem by Desmond Okon

My Little Dove, Run Away.

Rating: 5.0

Run away Love,
Run to the palace of light,
Hide thee from the slaughter of peace.
To the bosom of a fire place not in lease.
Run away Love,
From the feet that seeks thee to lie,
That ye may flee and not be defiled.
Run swiftly with your innocence,
Make thee unseen from the sight of men.
Run away Love,
Till ye see the wings to carry thee,
Till the road becomes wide and plain.
Free from fantasy, to the realm of havenly pixies, run away.
Run away Love,
Gather the horses and whip their backs,
Make them match the cheetah's breeze on tracks.
Brisk, ye shall find the dome of solace
As thy rear shall be fogged on cheetah's pace.
Run away Love,
Vultures seek thee dead and laid in the city of digestive juices,
Wolves chase after thy steps with devil's fangs,
Run my love to the temple of slayers.
Fly little dove, away!
Reach for the highest firmament,
Smell the aura of tender clouds.
Chirp with thy strength to Heaven's heart,
As ye perch thy little feet in the clouds.
Run away.
From me and me alone.
My hands are stuck to hope's wall,
That in the new earth, I'll have thee all to me alone.
On my wings thou shall stumble and fall,
Comb for Buddha's hand,
On it, safety shall ye find on land.

Run faraway Love!
