My Last Fight With Covid 19 Poem by Diane Monte

My Last Fight With Covid 19

Heart beats fast,
Hyperventilate day and night,
His might won't last,
He can not fight,
It stopped, last breath lost.

A letter he wrote before his last fight,
An earnest prayer, oh please grant,
'Oh God, the omnipotent and my knight
Welcome me with delight,
I am home with you at the very last".

As you close my book of life tonight,
These people who grieve all day and night,
This invisible threat, we all fight,
Everybody will die, and heaven will meet
Uh Jehovah, give us the cure to treat.
