My Hometown Poem by Daniel Miltz

My Hometown

Whence' not long ago, I returned home
Sojourned my childhood borough; to the past
Where my memories were created from
Only to enter, vortex of time passed

Whilst' I experienced the town over
O' ye scenes of my childhood boyhood blur
Whence' things were simpler and much slower
Mostly found things exactly as they were

Hastingly, walking, listen'ng to town sounds
Prancing around the burg and countryside
Hath' ice cream and pop, O' merry-go-rounds
Herewith, parks, band concerts and games beside

Whence, past and future finally collide
Soon real'ze: I gone back in a time ride
