My Heart Has Bled Poem by Linda I. Weischedel

My Heart Has Bled

Here in my heart I feel darkness,
yet this darkness doesn't mean I need you any less.

By letting me go the way you did, oh how my heart bled,
my soul was tortured it felt like it were dead,
and oh the meaningless tears over you I shed.

You knew you weren't coming back to me,
just only left a broken sad woman for others to see,
I have built a wall to protect my heart me,
it will never allowing my soul to become
captured or even run free.

Your deceitfulness cut me deep inside,
namely just by the way you lied,
you servered me inside with your oral knife,
I will be damned
if I allow you to totally destroy my entire life!
