My Guru, My Mirror Poem by Swami Adi Narayan

My Guru, My Mirror

Rating: 5.0

You have come to be my mirror,
To show me all that I am.
I should hate you for the pain you have caused me.
But because I love you,
I will look into your eyes and see myself.
To love myself is your greatest gift.
For My Beloved, I will do all that He asks.
Without question.
With faith, strength.
I will look into Him, to find myself.
I will look into me, to find Him.

An unfeigned poetic expression of the Guru's presence and movements reflecting our innermost tendencies, shadows, and all that we have left unconscious to our awareness. Love and surrender to the Beloved makes us introspect and self-correct! Very truthful guidance on a bhakti path. Thank you.
