My Great Goddess Of Nature Poem by Francis Duggan

My Great Goddess Of Nature

My great Goddess of Nature how are you today
Your wild birds sing in the park across the way
The sky mostly blue just a few clouds of gray
And the sun it is out on this mild Autumn day
With the passing of time my love for you has grown
And one greater than you are, not visibly known
Of the death and destruction of your anger we read of and hear
And you are the one we do love and do fear
Of late in Burma and China you've caused death and heartbreak
And you who support life in death life does take
The food you create with all life forms you share
And with you there is no force that one can compare
My great Goddess of Nature how are you today
You look calm and peaceful I like you this way.
