My Gratitude To A Friend
If I show my concern for you,
You tell me not to worry
Only with a plea that -
I’m not supposed to take any pains for you.
But you are shedding tears for me –
Nights after nights in lieu.
Sitting quietly in a corner
Being in no body’s view!
You are writing and praying for me
In poems after poems,
Crying your heart out
Only for my sake!
I’m not that much ungrateful
To ignore and keep away.
My eyes fill with tears of joy
And I’m indebted to you.
I adore your generosity
I keep you very near.
Keeping my hands crossed on my chest
I wish all good to you dear.
I like you, I love you,
Deepest in my heart, I keep you.

A marvelous write with a feeling of gratitude towards a friend to pull him out from distress. The sense of gratitude is commanding
