My Friend Poem by Vincent Igwilo

My Friend

Rating: 4.5

Happy is he whom you befriend
I have no pint of concern for you
Yet you are always by my side
Like my eyelids which shud at the sight of danger
You surface when all is lost

You make my journey turn honey
I ponder on this wonder
For I get aid
Without you getting paid

I call you friend 'cause you equal my definition of friendship
When I think of living, I think of you
'Cause challenges always come
But you also give me mastery over such mysteries

Even now that I reflect on how you've helped me through these years
I cannot think of a name to give you than hope
For you make me to cope
When others are shouting opps

Oh my lovely friend who doesnt withdraw
When trouble draws it uncomely sword
Teach me to be optimistic
Rather than being pessimistic.
