My Empty Space Poem by James Bloom

My Empty Space

It is now expected every time we meet.
A few words to promise to a blank mind.
An acceptance into my empty thought.
Where loads of activity runs wild,
You just walk through unnoticed.

A happy story you tell so well,
Full of promise and loads of joy.
I used to buy into the tales,
they gave me the warmest feelings.
To end in the most disappointing way.

From somebody I used to love so much,
to somebody I don't really wanna know.
My mind tries to take you out of my life,
My heart tries to keep the fire burning.
The body drains in the attempt to save it's self.

I walk with the effect that accepts what's happening,
Letting the mind dictate the power of the soul.
Knowing everything happens for a reason.
Knowing that I can't allow things to carry on.
Knowing things will never be the same.
