time in and time again
my soul yearns for thee
to blossom as mustard a grain
lowly laid down at thy feet
as the deer panteth
for the water brook
i long after thee as a plant would,
for nutrients through its roots
thirsty I have become
for but your showers
of unmeritted favour
on me to be rendered
to tread the paths of thy will
pleasing thee all daylong
is my most treasured wish
now and in time to come
to steadfastly behold thee
through the eyes of faith
holding strongly to thy creed
to keep my paths strait
I long to be lost in thee
never to be found in sin
that I may know thee more
with each passing second
O lord hear my supplication
and make me thy habitation
