My Counted Blessings Poem by Jacqui Broad

My Counted Blessings

Rating: 5.0

Is to laugh, a curse,
or a blessing?
Because I cry in the rain,
and laugh with the sun's shine.
I laugh if I get hurt,
but I'll cry over a dead bird.
I'll laugh jubilantly
at a good joke,
but won't feel pleased,
if the joke's on me.
To laugh makes heartache disappear,
and won't allow depression
to get in the way.
After all,
is laughter the best medicine,
and if I can laugh at myself,
then I truly see it as a blessing!

Hello Broad, hi again! this poems is tickling my heart. I like the appropriateness the description of the poem. Especially we die to laugh at jokes played by others on some others. I enjoy these line more......... 'I laugh if I get hurt, but I'll cry over a dead bird. I'll laugh jubilantly....' However, When the Ball of joke comes to our court (If sb play a joke on us) we become bundle of nerves. I wonder at the explanation went by..... Give you a big treat to the poet!

laughter is the mask of many faces. it hides the true feelings and reveals insecurity, gives us strength in times of fear. a blessing it is if you can harness its power. nicely done
