My Constitution Poem by Ima Ryma

My Constitution

The Constitution be upheld,
As written centuries ago.
Some amendments did get indwelled,
But nothing recent - doncha know!
Supreme Court always has last word.
Nine heads above black robes decide,
And then get judged wise or absurd,
Depending on how We divide.
Cuz We the People - each of us
Thinks that the Constitution is
What I of We think, and I fuss
Not all of We agree - gee whiz!

Uphold the Constitution say
We who want it upheld My way.
