My Child My Child

My child my child why don’t you see
How far we’ve grown apart
How much I want your soul set free
And heal your broken heart

I’ve so much love I love to give
So very much I care
I suffered much that you may live
Eternity to share

You know I’m here you’ve heard my call
And know my Word is true
You know I’ll never let them fall
Who righteousness pursue

I’ve seen you in the dark my child
In shadows of despair
I watch you as you’re running wild
Here and everywhere

Come to The One who feels your pain
The One who’s at your side
Who’s blood can give you life again
And turn back every tide

Recall Golgotha’s dreadful tree
Believe The Lamb who died
By faith rise up in victory
Ascend a loyal bride

Be wise my child take Jesus’ hand
Receive of Heaven’s Love
Learn of The Truth and understand
The secrets of above

Open the door let Love walk in
Let Love dry every tear
Allow me help life’s crown to win
And take away your fear
