My Candle Light Poem by Paul Sebastian

My Candle Light

My Candle Light
A poem by Paul Sebastian

In darkness I once lived, lost and forlorn
As God-sent candle light, you dispelled the spell
My enlighten heart, became newly born
By hand you led me into your heart-home to dwell

There I shone like the mid-day sun
Enflamed by love, I soared like an eagle
Unafraid of storms or what would come
With courage, I saw nothing unattainable

I grew my love deeper than any sea
To love unconditionally, faithfully
From here to the moon, to all eternity
Live giving each other, completely

Like wind you caress me, lift me high
You underneath my wings, I soar to the sky
I found a reason to live, a reason to die
Our eyes set on our golden years, we will fly

You there, lovingly caring, is sufficient
Your very gaze soul penetrates to inspire
Your smile engulfs my soul to be brazen
Your soft touch makes my heart perspire

Be always my glowing candle light
Shine forth to all corners of my night
God keep our lives lit as golden years nigh
Darling, let's light others, live lives worthwhile
