My Boy Poem by CHARMAINE SIMPSON

My Boy

Rating: 5.0

My beautiful boy -
There will never be words that truly express my love for you.
Your innocent little face holds this expression that defines your amazing character.
Your eyes hold a world of wonder, full of questions, and always so lost deep in thought.
Your soul has travelled many other lifetimes, in a past that connects with mine.
This is what gives us our intuitive insight within each others thoughts.
You chose to give me the most treasured amazing gift -
The gift of giving life to you - so that we are again destined -
To journey through another lifetime together.

By blessing my world with the overwhelming feeling of becoming a mother,
Was the gift of a new persepective, of the life i thought i knew so well.
You filled my heart and soul with love so pure, and connected to your whole being.
You gave me a feeling of selflessness with no resentment.
You filled my destiny with meaning - full of unconditional love.

I watch you now as you enjoy life, sometimes in amazement,
that you my baby, once slept safe and warm inside of me.
I have watched you grow and become the most balanced, happy,
creative, intelligent, warm, caring and loving complete personality.
You are all i could of ever dreamed for, the person you are growing to be
and the beautiful nature that is your character makes me cry -
With extreme amounts of joy and pride.

You are my life, you gifted my heart with the best experience ever imagined.
The feeling of becoming a mother contains emotions only another mum knows.
Almost as though we have been given a secret view into a world which now seems clearer.
The dangers of life stand out so we can protect this life from obvious hurt -
Along with the inability to ever fall into a deep enough sleep so to be alert to the first cry.
Or is it we develop bionic hearing with tears that now seem to flow so freely,
Over anything that holds any emotion happy or sad,
And almost certainly at every time i have ever watched you as you sleep,
I stare at your beautiful face for hours - the tears of absolute love flood my eyes,
as i see the glimpse of a piece of each of us - your mum and dad!

Love from your mum xx
