Murmurs Poem by Kayode Are

Murmurs

Murmurs fuel the mind
Nuggets of wit rare to find
No harness could check
Nor restrain it sensitive trek
In the clogged avenues of time
Murky issues and ideas sublime

Themes the mind conjure
Ego of our Sheikh cannot endure
What they care not know or read
Spinners weave full of dread
Splashing spices of jaundiced thought
In a mix of fear doom and plot

Murmurs of an undaunted mind
Stirs vision springs the bard
Chew facts bland and hard
With pieces of truth she grinds
A perspective in poetic term
To defy fear of threat or harm
