Murdered By Love Poem by Temperance Joy

Murdered By Love

Save tonight
For it may be the last
Our love and our dreams
Will soon be in the past
Stories you'll tell
Of a girl you once knew
And how you find out
She's dead because of you
You broke her heart
Her pain ate her alive
You left her to die
With no way to survive
No way out of the hell
You so graciously built
You threw out her hope
You just watched her give up
You watched her die inside
Abandoned and vulnerable
With no place to hide
Her eyes show the pain
She's too afraid to show
For if she tells someone
The pain may just grow
Look closely for the last time
Remember her sweet face
For never again never again
Will you be in the same place
You time with her is up
You watch as she dies
You can't look away
As you gaze into her eyes
Her eyes begin to close
She's getting so weak
You reach out your hand
As she begins to speak
'Do you love me? '
'The way that I love you? '
Cause i'll go in peace
Knowing you love me too.
