Mr. President Poem by Gerard Woods

Mr. President

Mr. President why don't you resign
the people have wanted you too
For a longtime
There fed-up with Watergate and
All that it implies
There fed-up with the corruption
And all the lies
Why do you hang on to the
Last bit of thread when the people
Don't want you anymore as there figurehead.
Mr. president why don't you just call it a day
Pack your bags and walk quietly away
