Mourning In Stem School, Highland Ranch, Colorado Poem by Sandra Feldman

Mourning In Stem School, Highland Ranch, Colorado

When a young person dies,
Is violently killed,
For no reason
We must do more than cry!

Today,
AGAIN!
Unbelievable sad darkness,
Shooting violence
Has taken an innocent life!
There is no excuse,
No human way, we can explain
This terror, this horror!
Are we still in our savage hour,
Beasts, a sick society
Full of unnecessary,
"Do what you want,
Open Rage? "
All we know is that a fallen angel
Will not come home tonight,
I think of those parents
And I Capsize and Cry and feel Hollow...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
There are many more wounded. I only pray and hope they survive with
the least pain possible. Pray for them, please!
And we must do something to stop this HORROR! ! !
