Mothers'Day Poem by Sheldon Carruthers

Mothers'Day

For all the love you’ve given us -

That we carry wherever we go -

There’s nothing that could displace this love -

That has grown and grown and grown!

So near and so dear is your love for us -

No other ‘love’ seems true

You’ve set us apart from the rest -

Well! there’s nothing new in that,

Because you simply are the best!

For all the love you’ve given us

So tender and so true

We’ll give God thanks and praise the Lord

Then send it back to you!

Thank God for a mother’s love

So beautiful and pure

Who could ignore such a special gift -

Without it we could barely live -

But love is endless and timeless, and so is yours!
