Mother Poem by Christine P

Mother

Rating: 5.0

Mother, sweet mother,
why did you leave?
You were my everything,
you were my queen.

My selfish desire to not despair,
lost without you mother, I'm so scared.

Time moves slowly, my worst nightmare is here,
reality is altered, mind scattered and I falter.
Screaming. No my mom is dead! ! I wanted to give up, and almost put a gun to my head.
The call, those words, fear filled minds eye... staring in the cold darkness of ones crying bed.

My mommy was so strong and brave, We all wept as we looked, down upon your grave,
and all of your children will never be the same. Ready to see beyond a place unknown. With the most beautiful wings and up you go. All the ones left behind, will forever feel so alone.

You let your soul fly free,
past the moon and stars.
And we know that you are watching us, from afar.

Now, you can see the beauty of heaven,
without any pain, and with daddy again.
You are at peace and until we meet,
I will stand tall on my own two feet.

Everything I see, think and feel, now....
will not be for granted, and someday I'll be fine.
You will always be my queen, so beautiful, so divine.
And mommy I will miss you all of my life time.
