More

You took my hand
on some pretext
and then slowly let it go.
My whole soul
screamed: “No!
and couldn’t bear
the absence of you

for a single second.
Now that touch had tasted touch
all it could do
was hunger for more.

My heart a beggar
piteous & poor
pleading...pleading
for more..
...more.
