Moonlit Night Poem by Casey Jarrell

Moonlit Night

Rating: 5.0

In the dark where the moon shines bright,
she skates upon a frozen lake within a circle of the moon's light.
She raised her hands up towards the sky.
Then her arms embraced her chest with gentle warmth.
She spreads her arms as she begins to spin.
Then she lowers herself to revolve low to the ground.

In the circle of golden light,
a graceful lutz rose above the shining lake.
Then warmth fills her face within her brother's wake.
She then lands close to the edge of the line.
Then she would move around the moonlit shape.
She'd go back to her brother with unending light
only to remember this moonlit night.

You paint a beautiful picture with your words and the scene you have set them in. A great poem.

Thanks! I love this sport! I wish I could skate myself, but I am not coordinated enough.
