Moonlight Poem by Terry Donovan

Moonlight

We lay on the beach together,
The waves lapped at our feet.
I ran my fingers through your hair -
It felt like shredded wheat.

But then a beam of moonlight
Shone upon your torso.
By daylight you look sexy
But late at night even more so.

And there we stayed till very late,
Just you and me and the sand.
The tide came in, the tide went out
And everything was grand.

Yes, Margate beach by moonlight
I always will recall.
It may not be exotic -
But did we have a ball!
