' ' ' ' ' Moon Tankas

Rating: 2.8

LA LUNA

The moon stares at you.
You gaze back – not seeing it.
Naked in its light.

“Ahhhh...my little sleepwalker
lost now in a world...of your own.

********

ARTIST

Suddenly blank moon
sketches pine tree & lone bird
with swiftest of strokes.
Written all over its face.
Then dissatisfied....starts again.

*******

SILLY MOON

Moon plays hide & seek
against the skinny bamboo
hiding now behind
a single stem...hard not to see
its great big behind. I laugh.

*******

PUT THAT MOON DOWN THIS MINUTE!

One tree passes moon
to the other tree slyly
as if it had thought
I hadn’t seen it do it.
But ah...I smile: “Gotcha! ”
