Moon At Perigee Poem by William Kruse

Moon At Perigee

In a crystalline sky on a black velvet night
in a diamond-wisp of a cloud
hangs the moon, as close to the earth as it gets:
so bright, so blue, so proud.
You can see it's seas
as it tugs the tides
and strains at the souls of men.

A very thoughtful write, Bill. It has a musical rythum. I love it, but it ended too soon, left me wanting more. Beautiful. Best wishes to you and yours, my friend. Richard
