Money Is Not Everything Poem by Emmanuel Odei Oduro

Money Is Not Everything

Money is not everything
Good name is better than riches
This is what the bible backs
That great book never ever lies
Because it is by God inspired
Its statutes must we spiritedly seek
Money is certainly not everything

Too much money mania
Has too many souls subdued
Doomed to the chains of satan
Losing the peace and liberty
Missing the eternal majesty
Inherent in pursuing good name

Raging respect for money
Has several shocking sins, stirred
Many dignitaries, demeaned
A host of souls severed
From their lofty luminary level
To a class, callously contemptible

Money is not everything
The bible testifies to that
Experience has so, revealed
There is evidence, engulfing
Appetite for money is an omen
That one will on a bad note, end

Money is not everything
Seek worthy courses and intents
Intentions of godly inspiration
Objects aligned to God's promises
Objectives in line with divine precepts
That makes you a blessing to humanity

Be a candidate of heaven
Pursue worthy courses
Be inspired by divine causes
So that when He comes
You will not be found wanting
But be a worthy and faithful servant.

Money is not everything
There are choices, very virtuous
To live fervently for
Picks of pious promptings
Making one a miracle to society
Endearing one to humanity

Money a servant, not a master.
It must be properly pursued
It must be caringly consumed
Eliciting earthly applause
Ensuring a holy honour
