Mommy Poem by Sara Jo Andrews

Mommy

No more, never again, will I be there again,
To hear the pain and hurt in your voice,
When you look at me, every time
I remind you of my father,
No more and never will I pay for
Yours and his mistakes
I am someone, I am your daughter
Look at me, tell me you don’t love me,
So I don’t have to continue to hope that
Maybe one day I’ll wake up and
Everything will be okay.
Don’t do this to me mommy, deep down
I love you. I’m not you and I’m not him
Please love me for me and not hate me
Because you are reminded of everything that was.
