Moll Flanders
In you I see a deep reflection
an image so deep as its society
from grace to grace you sprout
from avarice to penitence spring
your marriage schemes backfire
and the hunter becomes haunted
that Gentleman from Verona
who patronizes your amorous
to the detriment of his family
is he truly a gentleman?
then who is a real gentleman?
is nobility inherent or acquired?
alas, if your penitence is so real
as seen today as sociological
because of society on character
why are there no scars from it?
I mean your vicissitudes of life?
or is necessity made out of virtue?
