Missing My Heart Poem by Martina Salazar

Missing My Heart

Just cause you think something might last
It falls apart in front of you and makes you rethink
What you thought before. You never think that sometimes your feelings could hurt you more than the that one person who broke you.
Time goes by until that day comes when you remember that your heart was never meant to love
And that if your heart brakes it just shows that you still believe in that one little person.
Who could make you feel that way again.
Now if I brake I won’t cry or regret meeting you
All you did was make me put the shields back up
My heart will never fully love again until I see you with your new love
And I close my eyes for the last time
Death has always brought me to that place where I don’t have to feel anymore
Where I can lay my head down and never wake again
