Minister Without Portfolio Poem by Miranda Mabuto

Minister Without Portfolio

Rating: 2.0

I have always known
Now that i have grown
It was bound to come
I ignored and waited,
for the day your where going to come clean,
the day you were goin to tell me
I was no longer your next of kin
The day i was made a minister without portfolio

Shocked I was
Expect it I did
So blunt and cruel not quite
No trying to hide no sugar coating
It was all in writing,
I was now a minister robbed of his portfolio

Being brave
Ignoring the pain
Swallowing the hurt
Flashing a smile to hide the pain
I was good at that, but not today
I could not hide
A tear.......
Then two
Fell as i came to the end of the letter
Officialy I am
A MINISTER WITHOUT PORTFOLIO
