This is a thriller
There is a baby, a cyclist
There is jealousy in the massage parlour
This is a comedy
There is a soldier, a wizard
Greed triumphs in a castle
This is a drama
There is a banker, a dentist
Love dies in the park
This is a mystery
There is a bus driver, a teenage boy
Hate smoulders in the all night cafe
This is science fiction
There is a toad, a psychiatrist
Revenge simmers on a moorland
This is a romance
There is an old woman, a pianist
Curiosity pervades the care home
This is a crime story
There is a butcher, a bookie
Lust is ignited in the zoo
This is a horror story
There is a doctor, a swimmer
Fear darkens the cruise ship
So many things impinge upon our life trajectory that it's possible to tell the same person's story in many different ways. Which one we choose to tell depends on our sensibility. The representative details seem concrete but they combine into allegories from which the bottom has dropped out. Five stars for the haunting indeterminacy as to which type of story fits.
