Military In Solitary Poem by Chibueze Oscar Osuji

Military In Solitary

A thousand do fall at my right
The left took ten thousand at ease,
Numbers are crowd, single is might
The strength in numbers, wane and cease.

Wisdom's voice do say ''know thineself''
To ev'ry twelve, comes a judas
Cooking betrayal's beef as chef;
Solit'ry stays out from the mass.

Multitude move their chatterbox
Spitting out foolishness within;
Melting the ear wax with vile talks,
Solitude stays put to my skin.

The bullets do fly pass the 'proof,
On grips of solit'ry I'm still
Safe underneath her chimney roof;
In solit'ry, I'll do as will.
